This documentary follows first all-woman crew in a round-the-world yacht race. Critics gave it a 98% and 100% rating: “the film is enthralling viewing even for audiences with little to no knowledge of or interest in sailing, Maiden pays powerful tribute to a true pioneer.” The Strib also gave it a rare four-star rating: “It doesn’t get much more inspiring than the incredible story of Maiden, the first yacht crewed entirely by women to compete in the Whitbread Round the World Race. With meticulous detail and sensitivity, it chronicles the fight the women faced just to get onto the water.” The full review is available at http://www.startribune.com/inspiring-maiden-salutes-a-pioneering-female-sailor/512589522/After the movie, we will meet at the Edina Grill for Happy Hour.

You will gain the confidence to wash and care for your clothes – not only will your clothes last longer but you will fall in love with laundry! Crimes Against a Book Clubby Kathy Cooperman (Humorous Fiction)
Best friends Annie and Sarah need cash—fast. Sarah, a beautiful, successful lawyer, wants nothing more than to have a baby. But balancing IVF treatments with a grueling 80-hour workweek is no walk in the park. Meanwhile, Annie, a Harvard-grad chemist recently transplanted to Southern California, is cutting coupons to afford her young autistic son’s expensive therapy. Desperate, the two friends come up with a brilliant plan: they’ll combine Sarah’s looks and Annie’s brains to sell a “luxury” anti-aging face cream to the wealthy, fading beauties in Annie’s La Jolla book club. The scheme seems innocent enough, until Annie decides to add a special—and oh-so-illegal—ingredient that could bring their whole operation crashing to the ground.
