BOOKS & BOOZE: Tuesday, August 30th, 3:45PM—Macy’s Lakeshore Grille

Southdale—Ruby Tuesday entrance

The Round House, by Louise Erdrich

Erdrich has created an intricately layered novel that not only untangles our nation’s history of moral and judicial failure, but also offers a portrait of a community sustained by its traditions, values, faith, and stories. Macy’s has great Happy Hour food and drink specials. No loud music—we can actually hear one another talking around a big, round table. Just come even if you have not read this great book.

BOOK FOR OCTOBER: One Thousand White Women: The Journals of Mary Dodd.

“Based on an actual historical event but told through fictional diaries, this is the story of a remarkable woman who travels west in 1875 and marries the Chief of the Cheyenne Nation.”
